OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
THE VISION
A family dream to create a safe haven for farm animals in need.
THE PURCHASE
We purchased five acres in Placerville with the purpose of building a rescue.
THE FOUNDATION
Fencing reinforced, pasture areas prepared, a barn and chicken coop, and solar infrastructure installed.
OPENING THE GATES
Together, we will open our gates and welcome our first animals home.

Safe at Sundance Animal Rescue, plans to exist to provide a safe haven for farm animals facing neglect, abandonment, displacement, or uncertain futures.
Guided by compassion, stewardship and transparency, we will provide shelter, nourishment, medical care, rehabilitation, and individual attention each animal needs to heal and thrive.
Whenever possible, animals will be carefully placed in loving, responsible forever homes. For those who cannot be safely rehomed, Safe at Sundance will remain their home, a place where they can live with comfort, dignity and compassionate care.

We envision Safe at Sundance as more than a place of rescue. We are building a lasting sanctuary where animals are protected, people are inspired, and responsible stewardship strengthens the connection between animals, families, and our community.
Our vision is a future where fewer animals are left without options; where education helps prevent neglect before it begins; and where individuals, families, businesses and community partners come together to create meaningful and lasting change.
As Safe at Sundance grows, we envision expanding our ability to provide rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary, adoption, emergency assistance, and education while remaining deeply committed to responsible use of the resources entrusted to us.
